The exam is designed for:

• experienced industrial insulators (min.2 years),
• for fitters involved in the supervision, execution, maintenance and repair of insulation for industrial equipment and installations,
• for graduates of the Industrial Insulation Fitter course at our Training Centre supplemented by subject-specific courses or a preparatory course for the NORSOK M-004:2018 exam, or experience gained in other insulation classes. The prerequisite is that you are at least 18 years old and have no medical contraindications to participate in the exam.

Details/ What does the NORSOK exam include?

The examination consists of a theoretical and a practical part. Only successful completion of both parts of the exam entitles you to receive a certificate. An external examiner from Frosio checks your skills in installing industrial insulation in the following materials:

wool over mesh, wool over slate, pyrogel, armaflex, GRP, foam glass, full covering (elbow, reduction, stiffener, shroud, box)

What we provide

We provide an examination room, a fully equipped workshop hall, all insulation materials as well as the necessary tools of an industrial insulation fitter needed for the practical exam, refreshments - coffee, tea, mineral water, cakes.

What you need to bring with you

You should bring with you an identity card, two 35mmx45mm photos (ID, passport), work clothes suitable for the outdoors, work boots, helmet, personal protective equipment (glasses, gloves).

What the price does not include

The price of the exam does not include the cost of any accommodation or travel to our Centre.
