Purpose of the training

Becoming an industrial insulation fitter, gaining new qualifications.

The course comprehensively prepares the trainee for an independent position. The training includes the installation of industrial insulation according to NORSOK M004:2018 standard.

Why our course

  • 3 stages, 15 modules, 4 certificates, course ending with NORSOK M004:2018 certification.
  • participants cut out sheet metal parts themselves;
  • participants will learn the theory behind NORSOK Standard M004:2018
  • we train on a variety of insulation materials (wool, armaflex, slate, pyrogel, PIR, foamglass, GRP);

  • Practitioner trainers with a wealth of knowledge;
  • familiarise you with the English language elements of industrial insulation vocabulary;
  • we provide real knowledge of what it is like to work on industrial projects (including on-site induction tests).
For whom

The training is dedicated to people who want to work in the insulation industry especially in the Norwegian market, no previous experience or technical background is necessary, the prerequisite is that you are at least 18 years old and have no medical contraindications to participate in the training.

Details

Particular emphasis is placed on practical classes in the installation of various types of industrial insulation and sheet metal and GRP protective coatings. Theoretical and practical classes include introduction to types and methods of insulation, sheet metal work, principles of measurement, basics of occupational health and safety, fire and safety, basics of technical language in English, all in accordance with NORSOK M004:2018 standards.The course lasts 130h lessons and 10h exam NORSOK M004:2018

Knowledge gained

The graduate of the ISO NORD-CRAFT Training will be prepared to perform the following professional tasks:

  • installation of heat and cold insulation;
  • installation of acoustic and vibration insulation;
  • installation of fireproofing;
  • repair and dismantling of industrial insulation.
What we provide

We provide a training room, a fully equipped workshop hall with all the necessary machinery, all insulation materials and all the necessary tools for practical exercises, refreshments - coffee, tea, mineral water, cakes, lunch.

What you need to bring with you

You must bring with you to the training an identity card, work clothes suitable for outdoor conditions, work boots, helmet, personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves).

What the price does not include

The price of the training does not include the cost of accommodation and travel to our Centre.
