Ready for the employer's test

Hands-on preparation of industrial insulation fitters for SITE TEST qualification tests run by employers and contractors before work starts on industrial projects, especially in foreign markets.

The course aims to sharpen technical skills, eliminate workmanship errors and prepare the participant to carry out practical tasks independently in conditions close to a real Site Test.

We tailor the programme to the type of insulation materials, scope of work and technical requirements set by the future employer.

Who it's for

The course is for industrial insulation fitters preparing for the practical qualification tests required before being hired or starting work on industrial projects. In particular for:

• fitters preparing for Site Tests with foreign employers;
• people with work experience who want to refresh and improve their practical skills;
• fitters specialising in particular materials who need to prepare for work with other insulation systems;
• graduates of vocational courses preparing for their first recruitment tests;
• employees sent by companies to projects that require practical verification of skills.

Requirements: aged 18 or over, basic knowledge of insulation work or a completed vocational course, and no health contraindications to practical exercises.

What we practise

• taking accurate measurements of industrial installation components;
• preparing and correctly using insulation materials;
• cutting, fitting and installing insulation components;
• insulating pipelines, bends, tees, reducers, valves and flanges;
• single- and multi-layer insulation;
• installing insulation made of mineral wool, FEF/Armaflex, PIR/PUR, FOAMGLAS, Pyrogel and other materials according to the requirements of the given test;
• making and fitting protective cladding;
• correct use of workshop tools and equipment;
• organising the workstation, HSE rules and economical use of materials;
• checking the quality of completed work and identifying the most common errors.

We set the range of materials and the difficulty of the exercises individually. Where justified, the preparation may also include a trial run of the task in conditions close to the actual Site Test.

Knowledge and skills gained

After completing the preparation, the participant will be better prepared to:

• carry out the practical tasks of Site Tests independently;
• selecting and preparing insulation materials correctly;
• taking precise measurements, cutting and installing;
• working to technical documentation and quality requirements;
• organising work efficiently within a set time;
• identifying and correcting installation errors;
• demonstrating their technical skills during a practical competence check.

Good to know

Certificate awarded: confirmation of completing practical SITE TEST preparation.

What we provide: a fully equipped workshop hall, practice stations, the necessary tools and equipment, and the insulation materials included in the agreed programme. Training is supervised by experienced trainers.

What to bring: ID card, work clothes, safety footwear and personal protective equipment: helmet, safety glasses and gloves. If you know the scope of the planned Site Test, send it to us before the preparation starts.

The price does not include: accommodation, travel to the NATALUX Training Centre or the fee for the actual Site Test, unless the individually agreed scope of service states otherwise.

Dates: set individually, taking into account the planned Site Test date, the participant's skill level and workshop availability.
