What the e-book is about

Offshore is not a profession. First you need a trade. The e-book explains what an industrial insulation fitter really does, what you need to learn and what the road from the course to working on projects in Poland, Scandinavia and offshore looks like.

Inside you'll find

who an insulator is and where they work – energy, refineries, shipyards, Oil & Gas, offshore;
types of insulation: thermal, cold, acoustic, fire protection;
materials: wool, Armaflex, Pyrogel, Foamglas, PIR, GRP;
working with sheet metal and cladding;
the NORSOK M-004:2018 standard and the site test – what employers check;
how a fitter's career develops.

For whom

For people thinking about working in industrial insulation, in Scandinavia or on offshore projects, who first want to understand what the job involves. Also useful before choosing a course.
